Vanguard Zombies: Perk Fountains are replacing Perk-a-Cola Machines?

Call of Duty Vanguard is still a couple of weeks away, but Treyarch has started to share some information about what to expect from the new Zombies mode. It's safe to say that it all sounds exciting - however, things are going to be quite a bit different. One thing that's changing is the way Perks work. Vanguard Zombies is ditching the Perk-a-Cola Machines in favour of Perk Fountains. Here's what we know about that.

PERK FOUNTAINS? - More than one new way to play

It's a sad day indeed, but it looks like Jugger-nog might be a thing of the past - well, we're not sure yet but we can't imagine drinking Jugger-nog out of a strange skull-shaped fountain. Can you?

Perk Fountains are in and Perk-a-Cola Machines are out in Vanguard's new Zombies mode - Treyarch did warn us they were doing things a little differently.

As far as we can tell, these Perk Fountains aren't going to change the way that Perks work - however, there's a whole host of new ways to upgrade and get new abilities in Vanguard Zombies that we're not sure they're going to be as important anymore.

TERRIFYING - Would you really drink from that?

The Altar of the Covenants is a new upgrade system in which a player will offer up a Sacrificial Heart - which they earn from completing an objective - for an upgrade. These aren't exactly like Perks as we know them, but they offer similar additional bonuses. For example, you can get an upgrade that gives you a chance to keep any thrown equipment or something like Brain Rot.

Call of Duty Vanguard is due to release on November 5th - Treyarch's new Zombies mode is going to be something different, unlike anything we've ever seen from the mode before. We can't wait!
