Both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are expecting their Season 5 updates later today (or tomorrow, depending on timezones), but it looks like that won't be happening, as Season 5 has officially been delayed.
UPDATE - Season 4 Battle Pass extended, Season 5 Delayed
At the moment, we don't know why Season 5 has been delayed. All we know is that the Season 4 Battle Pass has been extended by 24 hours. This means you should have a little more time to hit Tier 100, but it also means we have to wait a little more time for all the new content!
Activision has communicated to DualShockers that more information will be shared later on regarding the delay. We expect this to arrive around the following times, as this is when Activision studios usually share communications:
- 09:00 August 11th - PST
- 12:00 August 11th - EST
- 17:00 August 11th - BST
When is Season 5 coming out now, then?
Originally, Black Ops Cold War and Warzone were due to have their respective Season 5 content and the Season 5 Battle Pass at the following times:
- 21:00 August 11th - PST
- 00:00 August 12th - EST
- 05:00 August 12th - BST
If the delay is only limited to a 24 hour period, as currently expected, though, we should see Season 5 start at the following times:
- 21:00 August 12th - PST
- 00:00 August 13th - EST
- 05:00 August 13th - BST
At the moment, we don't know how long this delay will last and this could affect when we receive the Warzone patch notes and Black Ops Cold War patch notes from Raven Software and Treyarch, respectively.
