Season 1 Reloaded for Black Ops Cold War went live yesterday and it had a couple of surprise additions for the multiplayer side of the game with the return of Express, the classic Black Ops 2 map.
Since then, new info about how many multiplayer map remakes are coming out have surfaced.
According to leaker @TheMW2Ghost on Twitter, Treyarch is developing at least 8 more map remakes for the upcoming seasons.
We already knew just before the game launched that the multiplayer side was getting classic map remakes, with Nuketown '84 being among the first ones, but this is the first time we hear how many remakes we are getting.
A remake of Firing Range, the classic Black Ops 1 map, might be a safe bet for season 2 but we'll have to wait and see.
Keep in mind that these remakes might be of popular maps from old Black Ops games, so don't get your hopes up for a Highrise remake or something similar.
With the release of Season 1 Reloaded, more content is coming in the coming weeks to Black Ops Cold War.
Sanatorium, a new map for the Fireteam game mode, is now live, while the Express remake is launching on february 4th.
The second Zombies map called Firebase Z is also getting released that same day, and it will be free for all players. Before that, a free zombies week is under way for all gamers who haven't been able to get a copy of the game.
Another thing to get excited for is the addition of League Play, a ranked playlist that will let us play with the ruleset of the CDL.
Certainly, there is plenty of content to keep us occupied until season 2 arrives.
