It's Thursday AND the start of Season Two, so that means we have a few new playlists being added to Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.
With new limited-time events and game modes appearing, there's a lot changing in this update.
Below, we've got everything you need to know about the playlist updates. These also coincide with a Free Access Week for Black Ops Cold War, if you haven't tried that yet.
LATEST - 25/02 Playlist Updates
In Warzone, it's a straight swap with Plunder and Rebirth Island playlists changing this week:
- Plunder – Blood Money Trios
- Rebirth Island – Resurgence Extreme
- Plunder – Blood Money Quads
- Rebirth Island – Mini Royale Trios, Resurgence Quads
Here's a brief rundown of what Resurgence Extreme is from Raven Software to get you acquainted...
Up to 99 players will drop onto Rebirth Island for an incredibly frenetic fight for supremacy, as they look to eliminate every last member of enemy squads to prevent them from getting a second, third, or even fourth chance at revenge.
Just like Resurgence, squad members can spawn back in if their Rebirth Countdown hits zero and at least one of their allies is still alive, and specific Caches around the map will refresh their items frequently to ensure there is no shortage of firepower around the island.
In Black Ops Cold War, there's a new 24/7 playlist and a few other changes:
- Gun Game
- Apocalypse 24/7
- Throwback Moshpit
We will keep this updated when more information is available.
The new Black Ops Cold War playlist update confirms the following will be playable this week:
- Throwback Moshpit [NEW]
- Snipers Only Moshpit
- Nuketown 24/7
- Gunfight Blueprints
- Prop Hunt
- Face Off
The newest COD Black Ops Cold War Playlist Update is here - and releasing on February 18th!
The official Call of Duty Twitter account brings us a 'weekly briefing' which includes any playlist updates coming to COD.
Treyarch’s Throwback Moshpit arrives on Thursday, 18 February, along with Snipers Only Moshpit.
Also continuing this week is Gunfight Blueprints, a 2v2 MP mode where duos square off with random Weapon Blueprints across five maps: Game Show, KGB, U-Bahn, ICBM, and Nuketown ’84.
Treyarch’s Throwback Moshpit
This new playlist features fan-favourites Raid, Express, and Nuketown ’84 in a variety of respawn modes for everyone to enjoy all week long.
Snipers Only Moshpit
The popular 6v6 competition where players face off with nothing but sniper rifles is back on Thursday, 18 February.
Precision, patience, and some quick thinking are all you get outside of a sniper rifle, as all weapons and Scorestreaks (such as the War Machine) are restricted.
