EA DICE's Battlefield 2024 isn't as polished as it could be - and the issues it does have are at the core of its gameplay - however, there's still a lot on offer from this first-person shooter. The Day One Patch update has dropped and here's everything you need to know about it.
UPDATE #1 PATCH - Here's what's been fixed
Battlefield 2042's Day One Patch has dropped and we're headed into the first weekend of Battlefield 2042's full release. There's a lot on offer and the new set of Patch Notes aren't quite as expansive as we had hoped the Patch Notes would be. In a small statement to fans, EA DICE outline that there are more updates coming soon and that this update is all about " "addressing some critical issues that [EA DICE] identified shortly before the start of Early Access."
So... This update is just fixing issues that were found before Battlefield 2042 even launched? Great.
At least there's some clarification that we will be getting "two further updates" in the next month - both of which should put Battlefield 2042 in a much better place going into 2022. You can check out the full Update #1 Patch Notes here.
PATCH DATE - When does the update drop?
Battlefield 2042 is due to fully launch on November 19th - so we're expecting the full Day One Patch update to be available at the same time as this launches. That's how Day One Patch updates work, after all. Of course, it could be a little earlier - as we're in Early Access at the moment - but we're expecting it to be available a lot closer to launch.
When does Battlefield 2042 come out specifically, though?
At the moment, we don't know for sure. However, looking at the time of day when Early Access started has given us some clues. Battlefield 2042 is expected to launch fully at the following times:
- 00:00 November 19th PST
- 03:00 November 19th EST
- 08:00 November 19th GMT
Take this with a pinch of salt and keep an eye on Battlefield's Twitter account for more information. We'll make sure we update this article with Patch Notes when they're available.
Tom Henderson, a notorious leaker, has suggested that the "Day 10" Patch is more likely to feature a major set of fixes. The Day One Patch could just be an update to ensure the new influx of players are welcomed without issues - and a few minor tweaks.
Only time will tell, though. So... Keep your eyes open for more information.
