The latest Ubisoft titles are here, and they're an absolute smash hit.
However, for users wishing to play the games on PS5 after playing them on PS4, there are some issues.
One such issue is the free upgrade not working.
Let's take a look at what we know so far about this issue, and what you can do to fix it!
The problem seems to be affecting those with a physical version of either AC Valhalla or Watch Dogs: Legion.
The issue seems to be with the disc, and only in certain countries in Europe.
As owners insert the PS4 disc, they are met with a £59.99 purchase option as opposed to the upgrade they were promised.
It seems that, unfortunately for some, the next-gen console is not recognising the PS4 disc correctly.
As such, users are prompted to purchase the game again, having already bought a game with a free upgrade.
How to fix the issue
One of the fixes that Ubisoft suggests so far is to create a Turkish PSN account.
Turkey seems to be one of the regions where this issue is yet to surface, and the upgrade is working correctly.
As such, the upgrade should work successfully for those willing to make a new account.
Simply register a new email address, make the Turkish PSN account and insert your disc again.
This should give you access to the free upgrade version of the game which you purchased.
AC Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion
Both Ubisoft titles are now available across the genre of consoles.
This means that both games are on PS5, PS4, PC Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
Ac Valhalla is currently £59.99 and watch Dogs Legion is £38.99, although Black Friday deals may soon change those prices!
