The world of Assassin's Creed Valhalla is about to get a little bit bigger and a lot more dangerous. Eivor is headed to the Irish Coast and the Wrath of the Druids DLC is coming in just a couple of days.
Here's the latest information and when it's coming out.
LATEST - New Characters Revealed
We are finally starting to get a bit more information about what we're going to see in the Wrath of the Druids when it's out on Thursday. We still don't know too much about what's coming content-wise but we do have a new look at two new characters.
Firstly, we've got our first look at the Children of Danu. This new group of cursed cultists will undoubtedly clash with Eivor during her time on the Irish Coast but we don't know right now where they stand on the Vikingr invasion.
In addition to this, we also get a new look at the High King of Ireland, Flann Sinna. We know this will be someone you talk to a fair bit in the Wrath of the Druids DLC, but whether he is a friend or foe is up for debate at the moment.
Updated Release Date
The newest Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC was originally meant to be coming on April 29th, but this was delayed until May 13th.
Why, though? Well... Here's what we know from the original Tweet:
Okay, that was a little bit of bait. It doesn't actually tell us a whole lot. For the most part, we just imagine that it wasn't really ready yet. The Ostara Festival helped to fill the gap, though, but now we're looking forwards to the Wrath of the Druids.
Eivor's going to have a whole new challenge ahead of her when she visits the Irish Coast on May 13th.
Updated Content Roadmap
Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Wrath of the Druids DLC expansion is coming out on May 13th, that much we know. However, we also know about what's coming beyond that. At least the next couple of updates...
Title Update 1.2.2 is due to release for Assassin's Creed Valhalla in Late Spring. We also know that a new game mode called Mastery Challenge is coming, too! We don't know much about it yet, but we can imagine they're going to be a bit of a task.
Although the Wrath of the Druids DLC is an exclusive bit of paid content, that also comes with the Season Pass, the several updates after that will be free for all players.
You can also get an insight into the timelines and pipeline processes that Ubisoft go through with their bigger Title Updates, as opposed to the minor Hotfix updates they release, through their Development Blog here.

File Size Revealed
Following a little bit of digging, the Twitter account PlayStationSize has uncovered the file size for the Wrath of the Druids DLC expansion on Xbox consoles.
In addition to this, they've also given us a couple of new images showcasing the Celtic world Eivor's jumping into in May.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla's first major expansion should take up around 12.5GB on Xbox consoles; It should also be a similar size on PS4 and PS5. You can check out all this information below:
Standalone OR Season Pass
With Wrath of the Druids only being a few weeks out, we're wondering whether it's better to get the Standalone version of the DLC expansion or invest in the Assassin's Creed Valhalla Season Pass.
We know this might seem a little biased, but Assassin's Creed Valhalla is great and the Wrath of the Druids DLC promises to give the fans more of exactly what they want.

The Wrath of the Druids DLC is priced at $USD 24.99 and the Season Pass is $USD 39.99.
We know this is a bit more, but when you consider that you're getting two major DLC expansions and the Legend of Beowulf DLC mission...
It seems like a fairly good deal. At the very least you'll be saving $USD 9.98, assuming the Siege of Paris DLC is going to be at the same price point.
Release Date Confirmed
Wrath of the Druids is due to launch on April 29th. This might be a little later than we first thought, but we're glad to finally have a confirmed release date.
Check out a little snippet of what's to come below:
" Journey to Ireland and unravel the mysteries of an ancient druidic cult. Fight your way through haunted forests and dazzling landscapes while gaining influence among Gaelic kings."
We know, too, from a leaked Trophy List that Celtic Mythology as a whole is going to play a big part in the Wrath of the Druids DLC.

This isn't exactly a surprise, but we're glad to have further confirmation that this DLC is going to be everything we'd hoped it would be.
