Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Ubisoft Connect will save hours between current & next-gen

Last week, we brought you the news that Ubisoft's online services were changing ahead of next-gen. Ubisoft UPlay will soon become Connect, and this is great news for players of Assassin's Creed.

AC: Valhalla will be released next month and at a time when we're upgrading console generations.

Valhalla will be out at the same time for both current and next-gen Xbox gamers, but the story is different for PlayStation gamers.

Don't worry though! Ubisoft has you covered with its new online system, which will mean you won't have to repeat anything.

Connecting generations

Ubisoft Connect is a service that will bridge the gap between console generations and manufacturers. No matter which device you start your save on, you will be able to access this save on another.

This is particularly handy for those that will start on Xbox One or PS4 and later upgrade their system. In this situation, you could save over 40 hours of time spent in the game, as you wouldn't have to replay the same missions.

Even more impressive is that Valhalla comes with a free upgrade from current to next-gen!

How much does Connect cost though? Absolutely nothing. It's a totally free service.

So, if you're a PlayStation gamer in-particular, it's an absolute no-brainer to sign up to Connect. This is especially the case if you'll start on PS4 and later to change to PS5 once Valhalla becomes available.

Release Date

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases worldwide on 10th November for PS4. Xbox One, Windows PC, Stadia and Series X.

Valhalla's PS5 version will hit shelves worldwide by 19th November.
