Jotunheim in God of War

The latest Assassin's Creed title is now out, and we're thoroughly enjoying it so far!

With both God of War and the Assassin's Creed Valhalla focusing on Norse mythology, there was inevitably going to be an element of cross over.

Despite the titles making an effort to differentiate themselves, God of War is clearly a fantasy game for example.

However, there is one location seen in both games.

Let's jump into both games now, and the ever-present Norse location!

Valhalla Easter Egg

The location is a big one for Norse mythology, the primary focus on both of the games.

Jotunheim is the place seen in both games.

The location is synonymous with Norse mythology, and is often linked with the Jotnar.

These are translated as giants, although, as God of War shows us, the Jotnar are not all typical 'giants'.

Jotunheim is one of the nine kingdoms, along with major ones like Asgard.

The location in AC Valhalla is seen after Eivor upgrades the Ravensthorpe settlement to level 3.

A WISE FRIEND: You need to complete some tasks to get to Jotunheim in Valhalla

Valka the Seer arrives as part of the A Wise Friend quest, with the player having to complete a number of tasks.

After receiving a potion to travel to Asgard, the player can continue, and will subsequently receive another potion to travel to Jotunheim.

This will be as part of the quest Going Deeper.

Jotunheim in God of War

The location is incredibly key in God of War 2018 also.

JOTUNHEIM: The location marks the end of God of War 2018

It is the final location of the game, the final destiny of Kratos and Atreus' journey.

Similarly, it is also a great way for the developers to frame the next title in the franchise.

This will take place during the events of Ragnarok, the events of which are shown in the Jotunheim mural.
