Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed Valhalla has been received extremely well, with the game breaking the launch week sales record for the franchise!
However, some gamers have been left in disarray thanks to a devastating corrupted save glitch, which has forced some players to restart their Viking saga!
Thankfully, Ubisoft has confirmed that they're working on a fix - find out more below.
Corrupted Save Glitch
As we mentioned, gamers have been reporting corrupted saves in their AC Valhalla game, which led to a complete loss of player progress!
Evidently, this error is pretty heartbreaking if you're already several hours into the story.
The error was being mainly reported on Xbox Series X, however there's also reports from all PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox One players.
Ubisoft working on a fix
Thankfully, Ubisoft took to Twitter to confirm they are working on a fix for the corrupt save issue.
There's no word yet on when the patch will come out, but Ubisoft has stated they are 'actively working' on it.
Corrupt Save Workaround
Moreover, Ubisoft has given some handy tips on how to avoid the corrupt save error and what to do if you encounter it.
Do not overwrite cloud storage save
Firstly, to avoid the error, Ubisoft has instructed players to not overwrite cloud storage saves when saving your game manually.
You can identify cloud storage saves with the little cloud icon (pictured above) - for the time being, avoid overwriting this type of save.
What to do if your save games are corrupted
Ubisoft has also stated that if all your save games are displayed as corrupted when you try to load your game, don't panic too much...
Simply restart the game and choose 'Continue' on the Title Screen, rather than manually trying to load your game.
This should continue your latest saved game without a problem.
