It's often a yearly occurrence for the latest Call of Duty title to wipe the floor with sales.
However, this year, the release of Assassin's Creed Valhalla seems to have ended this reign.
The latest AC title has beaten Black Ops Cold War to the number one spot for physical sales.
Let's take a look at that achievement now!
AC Valhalla beats BOCW
According to the sales charts, AC Valhalla has beaten Black Ops Cold War in physical sales.
This means that, in the week 8-14 November, more physical copies of AC Valhalla were sold than the latest Call of Duty.
This is a phenomenal achievement, as Call of Duty games are famous for cleaning up shop when released each year.

Effects of Coronavirus
It is important to remember that we live in unprecedented times, especially where physical sales are concerned.
The effects of coronavirus have caused many physical retailers to close, as the UK enters another lockdown.
This means that digital sales for many games will likely have increased.
We don't yet have sales information for digital sales which may well change the result.
Activision Blizzard Marketing Director Anna Malmhake has said that Black Ops Cold War has set another digital sales record.

As such, it seems that digital sales may well go the way of the latest Call of Duty title.
Physical Sales Charts
The remainder of the sales charts was taken up by a number of next gen titles.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales came in third, being available on current and next-gen.
Similarly, FIFA 21 moved from first to fourth place, the release of these next-gen titles overtaking the football game.
