FanDuel & DraftKings NBA Daily Picks: Fantasy lineup & advice 10/25/17

PG - John Wall, Washington Wizards @ Los Angeles Lakers

John Wall was a bit of a disappointment last time out against Denver as he shot just 3-of-13 from the field. But to his credit, he still got to the line 15 times to work himself into a good game of 19 points, 12 assists, two steals and a block.

Look for Wall’s shot to bounce back against the Los Angeles Lakers, though. Wall has a habit of getting himself up for these types of marquee matchups, and it won’t get much bigger than facing Lonzo Ball for the first time in Los Angeles. That favorable matchup, coupled with the Lakers’ insane pace, is a formula for Wall to reach the high 50s or even the 60s in fantasy points tonight.

SG - Victor Oladipo, Indiana Pacers @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Victor Oladipo has been a man on a mission to start the year. The 25-year-old is living up to his new role of being “The Man” in Indiana, where he’s putting up nearly 24 points and 2.5 steals per game through his first four contests. He’ll be coming off his most impressive performance to date, a 28-point outing on 11-of-16 shooting in just 28 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves last night.

Dipo’s confidence can’t be much higher than it is at the moment, which is perfect timing since he’s set to face his old team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, for the first time tonight. Dipo will have a point to prove after the underwhelming campaign he had in OKC last season, so expect him to come out all guns blazing.

SF - Otto Porter Jr., Washington Wizards @ Los Angeles Lakers

Otto Porter Jr. is quickly proving that he’s well worth the big contract he signed this offseason. The Wizards forward is stepping up in the absence of Markieff Morris, and is averaging 18.3 points on 51 percent shooting, with nine rebounds and 3.7 steals in 34 minutes per game through his first three contests.

With a lot of possessions likely up for grabs in this game, Porter offers a lot of upside against a Los Angeles Lakers wing rotation that’s still having its problems defensively.

PF - Ben Simmons, Philadelphia 76ers @ Houston Rockets

Ben Simmons is a double-double machine! The Sixers rookie has recorded at least ten points and ten boards through his first four pro games. Not only that, but he went one better against the Detroit Pistons as he recorded an amazing triple-double of 21 points (8-11 FG), 12 rebounds, and ten assists.

Simmons has to slow down from his torrid pace eventually, but that might not come tonight against the Houston Rockets. Houston’s breakneck pace of play is perfect for Simmons, who thrives in transition. Chances are this game features a ton of possessions and a host of opportunities for Simmons to continue racking up big numbers.

C - Steven Adams, Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Indiana Pacers

Three games into the season and Steven Adams already has two 40-plus fantasy point games. The one game where he was held in check was against Rudy Gobert, which is understandable. The Kiwi is averaging 12.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.7 blocks, and has emerged as an integral part of this Thunder team. Not only is he being a bigger part of the offense as a pick-and-roll runner, but he’s also getting additional minutes by virtue of OKC’s lack of bigs.

Adams will now face a Pacers team that still may not have Myles Turner in the lineup. While Domantas Sabonis has done surprisingly well this season, you’d still expect Adams to be in command of that matchup en route to another productive night.
