Season 8 of Apex Legends is perhaps the most explosive and chaotic season yet with the addition of Fuse.

But then does Season 8 end?

When does Apex Legends Season 8 end?

Apex Legends Season 8 began of February 2nd 2021, bringing huge changes to the map, including the destruction of parts of King's Canyon, the 30-30 Repeater rifle, and the addition of the new Legend, Fuse, who is an explosives expert.

All of this, along with a new Battle Pass, should definitely keep players busy over the coming weeks and months as Season 8 gets into full swing.

The current Season 8 Battle Pass is due to end on May 3rd, this would indicate that we should expect Apex Legends Season 9 to begin on May 4th 2021.

Switch Release Update

Respawn have officially announced the release date for Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch! It will launch on Tuesday, March 9th.

Frame Rate

While most competitive players are used to playing on anything from 60-360fps, the Nintendo Switch version of Apex Legends will likely see the game reduced down to just 30fps.

The Nintendo Switch is a fairly weak console, even by last gen's standards.

Other competitive games, such as Fortnite and Warface, only run at 30fps on the Nintendo Switch, meaning that Apex Legends will likely get the same treatment..

With so many fast paced and competitive games now on the Nintendo Switch, it does show that we need the rumoured Switch Pro more than ever, especially with the hardware gap growing even larger with the additions of the recently released PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
