New skins arrive with Apex Legends War Games

The War Games Event is here in Apex Legends, and with it comes some awesome new skins to the game.

War Games has arrived in Apex Legends, and with it comes some new skins for players to pick up!

While most players are focused on the new LTM game modes, don't sleep on the new cosmetics in War Games - which you can check out down below.

Recolours & Schedules

From what we can see, all the new cosmetics that are being added to the game with the War Games Event are in fact recolours of older skins.

This doesn't make them bad, far from it, but it does mean that veterans of the game won't have as much new stuff to unlock in this event.

What's interesting is that it seems like there's some order to these Recolours, too. Biast12 has suggested that the next set of recolours should be from last March's System Override event.

This means that if there are any more skins hidden in the War Games Event, using the same logic, they'll probably be recoloured skins from Season 4 and/or the Grand Soiree event. We're hoping for "Moustache Pathfinder" again, but...

Pirate Mirage?

Looking at the current batch of revealed War Games event-limited skins, it seems as though they're more akin to recolours than fully new skins.

However, we're okay with that because they look awesome! You can check out some better screenshots at them below:

What's interesting about these new skins is the fact that they don't really seem to follow a theme either. Wraith is some sort of Ancient Celtic warrior, Mirage is a Pirate, and Pathfinder is... A Medieval Knight?

Apex Legends certainly knows how to keep you on your toes.

Five New Game Modes Confirmed

Apex Legends' War Games event starts next week and will feature five new game modes, as confirmed by EA.

Here are each game mode and when to expect them to appear in the game.

• Shield Regen: Shield regenerates
• Killing Time: round time is reduced whenever a Legend dies.
• Auto Banners: automatically retrieve fallen banners
• Ultra Zones: compete for top loot
• Second Chance: Get a free respawn

War Games Skins

While none have been officially revealed yet, a combination of the new trailer that dropped to confirm the release date and Apex Legends News on Twitter have shown some off.

We're yet to know what the skins are actually called, or what you'll need to spend/do to get them, but we'll update you as soon as we do.

Weapon Skins

We'll also get some weapon cosmetics as part of the event. Only one has been revealed so far and you can check it out below.

War Games Rewards Track

The Rewards Track for War Games has also leaked. You can check it out below.

We're not sure about all the details yet, but we'll have everything you need to know once the event begins next week.
