Apex Legends Switch has various controller options

Apex Legends has finally launched on Switch, bringing a new group of players into the battle royale action.

Since Nintendo's hybrid console is a little different to the PCs and consoles that people are used to playing on, it's important to know what controller options you have and what the best settings are.

All Controller Options

When playing Apex Legends on Switch, you'll have two options. You can play the game with either a Pro Controller or two Joy Cons.

You're not going to be able to use motion control to play or with jump in with a single joy con, because you simply won't have enough control over what's happening in game.

In all honesty, you wouldn't want to play with anything other than the fully featured controllers because you'll be at somewhat of a disadvantage.

Apex Legends features crossplay on Switch, so you'll be playing against PC and console players unless you head into the settings to turn it off.

Using motion controls against keyboard and mouse wouldn't be very fun.

Chaos Theory Content

Apex Legends on Switch is fully featured in every other way, also introducing the Chaos Theory event.

The new event, which runs until March 23, features a new playlist called Ring Fury Escalation Takeover, 24 new cosmetics to unlock, and much more.

It also introduces solo play as a permanent feature for Apex Legends. It's not a dedicated solo mode, but you can now jump into other modes alone, without having the squad filled.
