Can the Apex Legends servers keep up with all the hype around the new season, though? Season 10 was a bit of a mess...

A statement on the Apex servers...

Looking ahead, AlphaIntel recently shared a statement from Respawn Entertainment on Apex Legends' servers and the issues we've seen throughout Season 10. Here's what they've had to say about the future...

" We've been doubling down on our efforts to resolve the connection issues and intermittent lag that some players may experience at different times and regions around the world.
" We've been expanding our dedicated server teams at Respawn, creating new ways for us to see, predict, and respond to potential bandwidth issues, and implementing new ways that we can make the back end of a technically massive live game like Apex require less bandwidth.

" We hear you, and the community, and we're working tirelessly to resolve these server issues."

Will Season 11 avoid server issues? We're not so sure - but we hope so!

If you're having trouble finding the Season 11 update for your version of Apex Legends, it should pop up in the next few hours. In a lot of cases, games update themselves - you might find you're already prepped and ready to go.

According to AlphaIntel, as stated in the tweet below, the update itself is around 40GB - this shouldn't be 40GB tacked onto the existing file size though as Kings Canyon and Olympus are being removed from Apex Legends for the time being.

Respawn Entertainment's next major Apex Legends update is due to come out on November 2nd - this is when Season 11 is going to start. However, what time specifically are we talking about?

We're all eager to jump into Storm Point - especially because there isn't going to be a passive mode to allow players to check out the new map before jumping into an actual battle royale game...

We don't have confirmation of the Season 11 start time, but we expect it to begin at the following times - this would be the same time as previous seasonal updates...

  • 10:00 November 2nd PST
  • 13:00 November 2nd EST
  • 17:00 November 2nd GMT

Season 10 was plagued by extreme server issues - something Respawn Entertainment is aware of. However, it might be worth keeping an eye out for delays - specifically on Xbox.

What are we expecting to see from Season 11?

Apex Legends' Season 11 update is going to introduce a new Battle Pass, a new Ranked season for both Arenas and BR, and a new set of updates and tweaks. That's all standard, though - at this stage, we know roughly what to expect from an Apex Legends update.

Specifically, there's some new content worth talking about.

Titanfall's CAR SMG is going to be the new weapon thrown into Apex Legends' rotation. We don't know how it's going to perform just yet and Respawn Entertainment hasn't updated us on the loot pool changes yet. However, expect this to be ground loot for the first half of the season at the very least.

In addition to this, Ash is going to be joining the Apex Games as an Assault Legend. Her abilities are going to set her apart from the rest - a lot of people are drawing comparisons between the Ronin Titan abilities from Titanfall 2. You can check her out in action in the gameplay trailer below:

Finally, there's a new battle royale map dropping. This tropical excursion is going to feature new flora and fauna with an interesting take on "environmental hazards" that should keep Legends new and old on their toes. It is expected to be in the map rotation alongside Kings Canyon, World's Edge, and Olympus.
