The Apex Legends Chaos Theory event is kicking off later today and will last until March 23rd.
During the event, we will see new skins, challenges, playlists, and more added to the game.
One of those playlists is Ring Fury, adding surviving fire to the list of things that a player needs to overcome in order to secure the win.
Here is everything you need to know about surviving, and winning, the Ring Fury playlist.
Chaos Theory Event
What Is Ring Fury?
Ring Fury is a new Apex playlist takeover that follows regular BR rules, but each round, one or more Ring Flares will appear on the map within the current ring.
Ring Flares are slowly expanding pockets of the Ring within the Arena!
Those who get caught in a Ring Flare will take damage equal to the damage dealt by the current round’s Ring.
You’ll be given a short warning on the map and minimap before the Ring Flare appears. Legends will call out if they are in direct danger or if there’s one opening up nearby.
The good news is, all players will start the match with a Heat Shield, using this can help you avoid damage as it creates a shield around you. Think of it like the Shield Bubble from Fortnite.
When you’re inside the dome, the use of healing items is sped up by 50% and the speed of Revives is increased by 25%.
The Heat Shield will degrade as it is damage so it won't last forever, meaning you will eventually have to face the Ring Flare again and try and stay out of harm's way.
Heat Shields don't take up any inventory slots, instead, they are added to the new Survival Slot.
This is incredibly useful as players won't need to decide between important weapons and utility items or a Heat Shield, you can carry both.
Ring Fury will replace Duos and Trios for the duration of the Chaos Theory event, however Ranked won't be affected by the event.
Due to the event being an Escalation Takeover, the mode will change over time, with the Ring Flares growing larger and more dangerous.
How Long Is It In The Game For?
The Chaos Theory event will last until March 23rd, meaning Ring Fury will also be in the game until then.
