Rockin' around the Christmas... train? Apex Legends' Season 11 Collection Event isn't as festive as you might think - the Raiders Collection Event is about pirates - however, the Winter Express LTM from Mirage's Holo-Day Bash is making a return. Here's everything you need to know about this mode and what's changing.
What time does the Winter Express LTM release?
Apex Legends' Raiders Collection Event is on the way and we can't wait to start working our way towards unlocking Wattson's newly-added Heirloom item. If you're looking for something a little different though, the Winter Express LTM is going to be available for the duration of the Collection Event.
At the moment, Respawn Entertainment hasn't confirmed when exactly the Raiders Collection Event is due to start. That doesn't mean we can't look at the previous Apex Legends events and work out when to expect it! Respawn Entertainment likes a schedule, after all.
The Raiders Collection Event should start at the following times:
- 09:00 December 7th - PST
- 12:00 December 7th - EST
- 17:00 December 7th - GMT
Winter Express LTM - What you need to know
The Winter Express LTM is a three-squad game mode that has players fighting to control the World's Edge train - with some festive decor - as it circles the map.
In this mode, the train is three cars long and the front window is opened up to allow for better rotation around this small area. It's an intense close-quarters battle that can push the best Apex Legends players to the limit. You're not limited to the train, but there's no loot around the map and you need to be on the train to capture it.
This doesn't play by the standard battle royale rules either - there's no DBNO state and any Health pick-ups you can scrounge up are used 50% faster than usual. Ammo is also only dropped by killing opponents - so... if you run out, you're out of luck.
This year's Winter Express LTM is going to be a little different to what we know, but not that different. Here's what Respawn Entertainment has had to say...
" That’s right: Winter Express returns! This beloved game mode offers three squads the opportunity to board and capture the World’s Edge train. For the first time, Legends will be able to pick their loadout before boarding the train; play around and find the best loadout for you!"
At the moment, the only change coming is the fact that you can choose your loadout -rather than have it dictated by you depending on what Legend you choose.
Winter Express is set to return as an LTM during the Raiders Collection Event that starts on December 7th.
