Apex Legends' Monsters Within event is out right now! It's time to get spooky and start opening those Monsters Within Apex Packs! Here's the latest on what you need to know about the new event before you jump into it.
UPDATE - The Monsters Within are here at last
Apex Legends' Halloween event has started and the Monsters Within are coming out to play - finally!
Keep reading on for everything you need to know about the event, including information about the return of a fan-favourite LTM: Shadow Royale.
Craftable creepy cosmetics are coming...
Much like any other event, you can earn Monsters Within items through Monsters Within Apex Packs - however, you can also craft them.
Monsters Within Apex Packs are going to be available for a limited time, but the event's cosmetics will also be available in the standard Apex Pack item pool. This means you should get a healthy selection of the cosmetics on offer.
The fact that you can craft these items, however, is huge. We recommend that you craft as many Rare Monsters Within cosmetics as you can before opening or unlocking any Apex Packs - Monsters Within or otherwise. This logically will increase your chances of getting a higher rarity Monsters Within item in the Apex Pack, as Respawn Entertainment doesn't do duplicates.

START DATE - When does Monsters Within begin?
Apex Legends' next in-game event is a matter of hours away - The Monsters Within event is due to start on October 12th at the following times:
- 10:00 PST
- 13:00 EST
- 18:00 BST
These times are unconfirmed - however, looking at the previous start times for Apex Legends' other in-game events... We're confident in suggesting that this would be the start time for the event.
We should see a small title update become available at this time - however, Respawn Entertainment hasn't commented on this at all yet.
SHADOW ROYALE - The return of Revenant's LTM
Shadow Royale is back for Monsters Within and, as far as we're aware, it's going to be the same as it was last year.
In Shadow Royale, dead players will return as Shadow-Form Legends with infinite lives for as long as you have an "alive" squadmate in the game. It is set on a "Night Mode" variant of Kings Canyon - although this might change this time around - and it follows the standard battle royale rules.
Shadow Royale is a fresh twist on Apex Legends' standard ruleset and should be a nice break for those of you a little tired of the standard BR. This is set to arrive in Week Three of the Monsters Within event - from October 26th onwards.
STORE SALE - Celebrate Dia de Los Muertos
Shadow Royale is arriving on October 26th alongside a new store sale celebrating Dia de Los Muertos! This store sale is only a week long, but it's going to bring back some fantastic cosmetics - and a new Octane skin!

We don't know how much these bundles are going to cost, but you can purchase the Dia de Los Muertos Bundle and get all of the cosmetics and 15 Apex Packs at one price. Respawn Entertainment should share more about this in the next couple of weeks.
