Apex Legends Fight or Fright: Patch Notes, Trailer and Shadow Royale

It’s that time of year again, and EA’s Apex legends sees the return of a spooky fan-favourite; Shadow Royale.

Last year’s Halloween event was so successful they decided to do it again, but with some added bonuses.

As we gear up to download the update, let’s take a look at what’s included this year!

Fight or Fright

The event is called Fight or Fright, and sees Shadow Royale added once again, but with a few changes.

One of the main mechanics of the mode is that once dead, you are a Shadow, and tasked with eliminating the remaining survivors.

This year, however, Shadows remain loyal to their teammates, and are even able to revive their teammates.

Once all your Legend teammates are dead, however, you must help your fellow Shadows eliminate the rest of the lobby.

However, in an exciting twist, the EA announcement states that you shouldn’t be surprised if you end up with one extra squad mate.

It seems that revenant himself is running a shelter for hell-beasts, which squads may end up adopting!

We don't yet know how this interesting feature could play out in-game, but we’re pumped to play nonetheless.

Cosmetics

The trailer shows a number of cosmetics.

As well as all 24 cosmetics from last year’s event included again, players also have the chance to unlock new additions.

These new cosmetics are all Halloween-themed and have a spooky side to them.

EA will also be changing bundles and cosmetics in the shop throughout the event, with new bundles available each week.

Apex Legends: Fight or Fright release date

The event will be playable from 22 October, and will run through until 3 November.
