Apex Legends Down: Server Status - Widespread Outage Takes Players Offline

For players trying to jump into game, you'll have to wait, as Apex Legends servers are currently down due to a widespread outage.

Here's what we know so far, and when we can expect the game to be back again!

Apex Legends is currently down for maintenance due to server status issues after a widespread outage.

DOWNTIME: Due to server issues, players have some downtime from Apex Legends

The outage was first reported at roughly 1:30 pm EST/ 6:30 BST - and EA have been on the problem since.

There are no current update as to the progress of Apex Legends server status.


New Platforms

This outage comes at a poor time, as Apex Legends approaches release on both Switch and Steam for the first time ever.

For PC players, Apex Legends will hit Steam on 4 November.

For Switch players, Apex Legends is scheduled to hit the console in 2022, though we expect it will be early in the year.

Fight or Fright Event

It's that time of year again - spooky season. And for Apex Legends, that means the Halloween event Fight or Fright is now live!

BAD TIMING: Fight or Fright rages on, or should be, if not for servers being down

This event will run through 3 November, which means you can get right into the action now and still have time to enjoy it for a couple weeks.

Unfortunately due to the timing, Steam players won't get the luxury.
