Apex Legends Dark Depths Event Patch Notes: What has changed this update?

We might still be waiting for the Season 12 update, but there are still a few new things to check out in Apex Legends' most recent title update - the Dark Depths Event. However, it doesn't seem like there's quite enough in there for a set of Patch Notes. The Dark Depths Event is adding a new Arenas map and a new set of cosmetics, but it doesn't look like there are any major gameplay changes to talk about. Here's everything we do know, though.

LATEST - New Arenas map rotation confirmed

The new Arenas map is the main talking point of the Dark Depths Event update and we now know when we're going to be able to play the new map - it's going to be included in an altered rotation schedule for the next week before everything gets back to normal.

Habitat is going to be available exclusively in Arenas until the following time:

• 10:00 PST - January 12th
• 13:00 EST - January 12th
• 18:00 GMT - January 12th

Then, it will be on a bumper 60-minute rotation until January 18th. From then on, things will return to normal and it will be available in the standard 15-minute rotation.

What time do the Patch Notes drop?

Respawn Entertainment hasn't offered us any information regarding the specific time when we should expect to see the Dark Depths Event Patch Notes drop - however, we're under the impression that we should see them released at the same time as the event's start.

We're expecting the Dark Depths Event to begin around the following time:

• 10:00 January 11th - PST
• 13:00 January 11th - EST
• 17:00 January 11th - GMT

Apex Legends' Dark Depths Event Patch Notes

The Dark Depths Event itself is due to launch on January 11th, so this means we're not going to see any Patch Notes over the weekend. We should see the Patch Notes relating to the title update arriving alongside the Dark Depths Event on the same day as the event's launch.

It's not ideal, but we rarely see Patch Notes from Respawn Entertainment ahead of time nowadays. This means it's quite hard to predict what we're going to see from event previews - like the one we've seen for the Dark Depths Event.

Still... Here's what we can piece together so far. We'll expand this further when more information is made available.

New Arenas Map

• Habitat - two POI locations (the Cave and the Nest),

New "Flash Events"

• Three, week-long Reward Tracks are available throughout the duration of the event,

New In-Store Event Content

• Dark Depths Apex Packs - Guarantee one, non-duplicate event-limited cosmetic,
• Dark Depths Store Rotation - Event-limited cosmetics available during the event,

We should learn more about the details coming in the next title update soon - we should see the Rampage and Sentinel fixed and added back to Apex Legends' loot pool.
