Check out the images below to see the new skins that can be unlocked.
Wattson Skin To Be Renamed
One of the new Apex Legends Chaos Theory event skins, Wattson's Charged Conquistador, is being renamed soon after an outcry of fan complaints.
The term "Conquistador" has heavy ties with the colonisation of the Americas and many suggest it harks back to the racist overtones that obviously appear when talking about colonisation.
Design Director Jason McCord had this to say...
" I believe this will be changed before it goes live. If not, immediately afterwards... Definitely no ill intention, it's one of those things that slip through the cracks."
Looking at the skin, the origin of its design is obvious as Wattson is wearing a Morion, a typical helmet of the Spanish and Portuguese forces at the time.
Do you think renaming the skin is a solution? Or is the imagery the cosmetic represents the true issue?
Nintendo Switch Version
Apex Legends has arrived on the Nintendo Switch, also on March 9th.
It was meant to release in late 2020 but was pushed back until March 2021.
The game will use around 25-30GB of storage space and will, unfortunately, run at 30fps like other similar games such as Fortnite and Warface.
To help Switch players catch up on the Season 8 Battle Pass, they will be granted 30 free levels and will earn double XP for the first two weeks after launch.
For a limited time, Switch players can also get an all-new Legendary Pathfinder skin - P.A.T.H. - .
