Overwatch is a game known for many things. An eclectic roster of characters, constant updated and, of course, lootboxes. 2021 Anniversary event isn't any exception to this. With eight new skins to unlock, you might want to get started as early as possible. 4
Here's every skin you can unlock.
LATEST - All New Skins
First up, we have Black Cat Sombra. If you're a fan of crossovers, this might be the closest you get to a Catwoman skin. (We know it's called Black Cat, but it looks more like Selina Kyle than Felicia Hardy.)
Then, we've got Venus Moira. This plant-based appearance is her first Overwatch Anniversary skin and we've got to admit we're impressed.
Next up, Funky Baptiste. This might be the best skin since Grillmaster: 76 and we're here for it!
After this, we meet Junkfood Junkrat, as sickly sweet as he is terrifying.
Next up is the awesome Gladiator Doomfist. Looking as powerful as you might expect from the name, this will be a fun one to unlock
Overwatch Anniversary Weekly Challenge Skins
Though the previous ones can be unlocked through boxes, the next three have very specific unlock times. To unlock them, you have to play certain modes every week until June.
Week one gives us Cybermedic Ana. Combining that cyber look with her healing abilities gives us a cool futuristic healer.
After this, week 2 gives us Birds of Paradise Echo. As our latest hero, Echo has a lot to live up to and this skin will help that greatly. Look how pretty this skin is.
Finally, on week 3, you can earn 8-Ball Wrecking Ball, an adorable little ball of death. Kitted in a tiny little suit, atop a big 8-ball, this skin is easy to love.
When Will They Be Available?
In a similar fashion to other Overwatch events, the event-specific cosmetic items will only be available for the duration of the event itself.
This means that all the new Overwatch Anniversary skins will be available from May 18th until June 8th. This three-week period is the standard length for Overwatch events nowadays, but it does mean that you'll need to make sure you jump on within those dates if you want any of the new skins.
With this being said, you don't technically have to grind out Loot Boxes if you want an Anniversary event-limited skin. You can purchase them all, new and old, with the Overwatch Coins. Over-Coins. Coinwatch? You get the idea.
New Legendary skins are always 3,000 coins, which is a fair bit, but the older ones usually drop down to around 1,000. If you missed one last year, now is the time to grab it at a discount.
